CAC IAAP Nominations Chair

 

Specific Job Tasks:

Responsibilities of the Central Arkansas Chapter (CAC) Nominations Chair: 

  • CAC members should be notified in the third quarter that candidates are being considered for the next year’s officer positions.  Any interested applicants need to provide their name and desired position to the CAC IAAP Nominations Chair by a given date.
  • If more than one individual is interested in a particular office, each candidate will need to prepare a brief (two minute) campaign speech to present at the voting meeting.
  • Meet with Nominations Committee and/or current Board members of CAC to come up with a tentative slate of qualified officer candidates for the coming year for those positions which have not already been requested.
  • After this list has been compiled, these individuals should be contacted to ensure they are interested in the offered position.
  • Present officer candidates to CAC members at monthly meeting for voting.  Campaign speeches will be presented at this meeting immediately prior to the voting process.
  • Conduct vote by secret ballot.
  • Notify CAC members of slate of officers.
