CAC Chapter Meeting

Welcome:
· Teresa Tidwell CAP welcomed everyone to the meeting. Each
individual stood, introduced themselves, and indicated where they work.
· Teresa also announced new members to CAC IAAP. They are Vera
Graham, Terry Harrison, and Pam Neal. Grace Coots and Janet Leible joined during today’s meeting!
Fundraiser
Update:
Wanda
Perry CPS/CAP gave a fundraiser update on sales of Small Indulgence Jewelry. Wanda told about the jewelry and reminded everyone
that it was in the back of the room to view and purchase. Wanda announced that she, Lavinna Bain
and Carolyn Rufus sold $500 worth to Health Advantage staff.
Door Prize:
Door prize drawing was held and Tina Stane was the recipient.
Lunch
New Business:
· Donna Lewis CPS/CAP gave an update on the treasurer’s
report and passed out copies of the CAC IAAP check register.
· Trish Jenkins will be heading the Administrative Professionals
Week Program; however,
she
was unable to attend today’s meeting, so she provided Teresa with current information. The meeting will be held on Tuesday,
April 21, from 10:30-3:30. It will be held at the Holiday Inn North in North Little Rock. Teresa mentioned some highlights
from last year’s program. She has submitted the application to participate in the IAAP Webinar like last year. We will
be notified in March if we qualify.
· Cindi Thomas discussed job opportunities that are currently
available at USAble.
· Teresa gave a tip about using the control and scroll button
simultaneously to shrink/enlarge MS office documents.
· Linda Myers provided a survey for everyone in attendance.
It will be sent to all membership after today’s meeting.
Introduction
of Speaker:
Donna
Chapman introduced Mark “Gunny” Thomas, author of Finding Your Yellow Brick Road and public speaker about Credit
& Money. Mr. Thomas has written and published one book and has two in the works that teach people how to become debt free.
Mr. Thomas spoke on the rules of investing, real estate, and c.d.’s. He encouraged everyone to invest with logic and
not with your emotions. He donated a copy of his book for a door prize. If you are interested in purchasing a book, Teresa
has copies at her desk.

Door prize drawing was held and Susie Moffett was the winner.
