Welcome
Teresa Tidwell CAP began the meeting by welcoming the CAC membership and guests to today’s meeting where the
topic of discussion is Certification and Recertification. Wanda Perry CPS/CAP has been out of the office recently and she
was welcomed back.
Door Prize Drawing
On-time door prize was won by Lavinna Bain.
Treasurer’s Report
Donna
Lewis CPS/CAP handed out a current copy of the Treasurer’s Report. She covered the basic information with members.
Certification Presentation
Ms. Lewis
presented a PowerPoint presentation provided by headquarters, which explains the process for certification registration, preparation,
and testing. It also discusses some background information. At the conclusion of her discussion, a panel of certified CAC
personnel was available for questions and answers.
Announcements/Discussions

Teresa shared information from
the motivational book Release Your Brilliance by Simon T. Bailey. Simon was keynote speaker at the 2008 International Convention
and Educational Conference in New Orleans. He compared all of us to diamonds and explained how diamonds are formed, clarified,
and cut. It takes a diamond to cut a diamond. Teresa gave “diamond” ring pops to each member present and asked
them to save one for themselves and to share the other “diamond” with a friend. By rubbing shoulders with each
other we can help shape each other. A copy of the book is also available to borrow.

Teresa gave an updated profit figure
on the jewelry fundraiser.

Sandee Lara has a new job and is
loving it. She started this week.
