CAC Chapter Meeting

Welcome:
- Teresa Tidwell CAP began the meeting by welcoming the CAC membership and guest speaker,
Bob Fegtly, with the DDF Consulting Group. She thanked Donna Chapman for assisting in bringing
in Mr. Fegtly for the program.
Door Prize Drawing:
- Theresa Sontag won the prize for on-time drawing.
New Business:
- Carolyn Rufus CPS provided a report on the Impact Meeting, which was held on Thursday,
November 6. Thirteen attended with two of these being prospects. Marsha Bryan
CPS/CAP, A-O Division President, spoke on her experiences with IAAP and what she has achieved since becoming a member. Marsha
added that she has now set her sights on achieving a leadership position at the international level. Marsha also read comments
from other new members regarding the benefits of membership. Bonnie Whitledge, a Central Arkansas Chapter member, gave a personal
testimony about her experiences as an admin and what she is looking for from IAAP.
- Teresa Tidwell CAP gave a status update on the chapter’s “Pathways to Excellence”
program. We currently have five of the fourteen points required.
- Theresa Sontag indicated minutes will be sent via e-mail to leadership.
- Donna Lewis CPS/CAP was unable to attend, so no Treasurer’s report was given.
Introduction of Speaker:
- Donna Chapman introduced Bob Fegtly with DD & F Consulting Group. They are a banking organization, which handles
mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Fegtly spoke on the topic, “Vision of the Company.” The topic dealt mainly with
the importance of creating a vision statement.
Vision statement should
include:
- What you want your organization to be in the future
- The timeframe in which to do it
- Have some type of enthusiasm
- Clarity
Four
types of organizations that should have a vision statement include:
1.
Governmental
2.
Religious
3.
Corporate
4.
Personal (family)
How
to develop a vision statement:
1. Leadership should be the one to set the vision statement for
the company
2. Determine where you have been as an organization
3. What are your strengths and weaknesses
4. Identify clearly what business you’re in (niche)
5. Understand the talent that you have
6. Determine the advantages/disadvantages to your company as
compared to others
Speaker
Gift:
- Teresa presented Mr. Fegtly with an honorarium to his church, The Church of Rock Creek,
for the Peru Missionary Ministry.
RTF Presentation:
- Linda Myers presented a PowerPoint presentation provided by headquarters on the Retirement
Trust Fund. November is the month we recognize this group. CAC IAAP will make a donation to the Retirement Trust Fund this
month.
Door
Prize Drawing:
- Cindi Thomas won the door prize.
Announcements/Discussions:
- Donna Lewis CPS/CAP had surgery on her hand and will have therapy.
