June 2008 – Message From the President
Greetings to the CAC Family!
This month marks the end of my year as president of the Central Arkansas Chapter of IAAP. Wow! What a wonderful,
exciting, and challenging year! Our growth in membership was phenomenal, many of our goals were reached and great friendships
were formed. THANK YOU for being a part of this professional group during the 2007-2008 IAAP year.
A special thanks to our President-Elect, Teresa Tidwell CAP, for so capably assuming additional responsibility
during my absence. Also, special thanks to the Board of Directors and the entire Leadership Team for catching the vision of
IAAP and seeing its potential. You have helped to lead us forward on our Forward
Moving journey. THANK YOU!
As we enter the 2008-2009 IAAP year, I congratulate the leadership that has been chosen. With the quality and
excellence of each of you, the momentum of our chapter's growth and progress will continue. To all of the membership,
thank you for your commitment and participation. You have made the work worthwhile. Always take pride in being a member of
this professional organization. Find ways to contribute to its success. As you contribute, you will enhance your personal
and professional development and advance your career.
Let me take a moment to say "thank you" for your prayers, kind words of support, and encouragement during these
recent weeks. You may never know just how much you have meant to me, especially at this time.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon and enjoying the 2008-2009 CAC year together!

MAY
2008 - A Message from the President….
As
we enter the last lap of our journey for the 2007-2008 IAAP year, I am reminded of how quickly time passes. It seems only
a short time ago that I was gearing up as president-elect to lead this fantastic group of IAAP members!
As
we have traveled together, we have explored new places and welcomed new faces. How exciting it has been to pause along the
way and invite others to “Come…ride with me and CAC IAAP”! Many have accepted our invitation and are enjoying
the benefits of this professional organization.
Life
produces life! To continue on our journey to CONNECT, EDUCATE,
and GROW, let us not take any detour that would cause us to lose momentum. The creative
energy and passion within each of us will propel CAC to places yet to be discovered. Furthermore, we will nurture and gain
new friendships as we develop and strengthen our personal and professional lives.
Don’t
delay! Come, join us, and let CAC help turn your job into a career!

Spring 2008 - A Message From the President
Is spring really just around the corner? Just as we were beginning to see the signs of
spring, Central Arkansas
experienced its first significant snowfall of the season. It is difficult to become bored with Arkansas weather!
Just as we are anticipating spring and the new life it represents, the Central Arkansas
Chapter is looking forward to the new IAAP year, 2008-2009. I am confident that our chapter will continue to experience new
life as we add new members to our group. We set a goal in July 2007 at the beginning of the current IAAP year to increase
our membership by 50%. We have almost reached that goal! Will you make a commitment to personally recruit at least one new
member by the end of June 2008?
We are planning exciting programs for the last few months of the 2007-2008 year. We have
embraced the International theme Forward Moving; and if you haven’t attended
our meetings, I invite you to “Come…ride with me and CAC IAAP”. Our March meeting will host Mark Rogers of The Wealth Creation Institute; in April,
we will celebrate Administrative Professional Week; in May, we will tour the Heifer International Headquarters; in June, we
will install the new officers for 2008-2009.
Our Nominations Committee is in place and is beginning the process of handling the nomination
process for the election of officers. Begin thinking about your role in our chapter and how you can best serve.
I look forward to seeing you at our chapter meetings. Come and bring a friend!

2008 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Happy New Year!
I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas! As represented in the multitude of lights that decorate
this Holy Season, I trust that you enjoyed the “light” of family, friends, and the fellowship of Jesus, the Christ
Child - the reason for the season.
As we enter 2008 and look ahead to the future, I must pause to say how grateful I am to each one for
your contribution to the success of CAC IAAP during the first half of our fiscal year. During our strategic planning in July
2007, we set lofty goals and determined to grow and accept the Forward Moving challenge.
We have made noticeable and measurable progress. Thanks to you, our membership has increased by one-third. We have enjoyed
educational programs in our chapter meetings, and our certified members have acquired recertification points by attending
these meetings. Two of our members sat for the certification exam in November and others are preparing for the May and November
exams in 2008. At our November chapter meeting we collected items for military personnel in Iraq.
Your generosity warmed their hearts, including MSgt Brock Gonzales, husband of our member and past president, Dina Gonzales
CPS. Thank you!
I am so excited about the journey of CAC IAAP in 2008. Our potential as individuals and as a chapter
is tremendous. You are professionals! You add value to your work, your workplace, and to our chapter. Thank you for bringing
your professionalism into CAC IAAP.

July 2007 Message From the President
On July 1, 2007, Central Arkansas Chapter of IAAP began
its journey for the new IAAP year! To move our chapter off the starting line, our officers met on July 10 for strategic planning.
On July 20 our Leadership Team, comprised of our officers and committee chairpersons, met together to add additional fuel
for the journey by broadening our strategic planning for the 2007 – 2008 IAAP year. As we travel through this year,
we believe the time our Leadership Team has spent in brainstorming ideas, casting our vision, and planning our calendar will
be evident. Out of these strategic planning meetings, the mission of our chapter was established and is shown on our Web site.
At the recent International Convention and Education Forum in Tampa, Florida, the newly installed
International President, Judy McCoy CPS/CAP, launched her theme, “Forward Moving”.
She emphasized the importance of “branding” for IAAP and the value of maintaining continuity of branding throughout
the organization. In keeping with the International President’s theme, the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division President, Jamie
Watson CAP, has launched the division theme, “Join the Journey…..Success
Through IAAP”.
Without hesitation, CAC IAAP is off and running eager to travel with
the A-O Division and International toward our collective and individual professional goals. Of course, our professional goals
will only be as strong as our personal goals and commitments. Have you reviewed your personal goals recently? What journey
are you on personally? Is your career on track? Are you enthusiastic about learning?
Throughout this year we will pause on our journey long enough to pick
up others who are ready to travel. New members will add excitement, fresh ideas, and energy to help us proceed on our journey.
Studying for certification will stimulate minds and will set in motion a new level for careers. Forming relationships with
other IAAP members will generate strength and support both professionally and personally.
I commend our Past President, Dina Gonzales CPS, for leading our chapter
to a new level during the 2006-2007 year. Let us continue to pursue excellence as we fully embrace “Forward Moving”.
Would you like to make connections with others who are traveling? Then, may I invite you to
“Come… ride with me and CAC IAAP”!
