Pre-conference sessions on Friday included speaker, Kristine Sexter. She spoke to us about "Working with Jerks, Angels, and Prima Donnas!" and then assisted with an "Extreme Makeover" in the evening session. Kristine captured our attention and had so much helpful information for handling confrontations, etc., and "Lookin' Good" doing it.
 
Opening Ceremonies on Saturday included the posting of colors by a local Girl Scout troop. Peggy Beach presented an informative narration about the writing of the Star Spangled Banner and did a lovely job with the music! Jodi McMillin CPS, President of the Bartlesville Chapter welcomed us.
 
The Business Meeting included reports from A-O officers and committees. Also, chapter presidents had time to share some of the highlights from their year. Karlena Rannals CAP, SW District Director and Jamie Watson CAP presented an introduction to the "Pathways to Excellence" program. The following officers were nominated:
  • Jamie Watson CAP, President 
  • Marsha Bryan CAP, President-Elect 
  • Janet Griebel CPS CTM, Vice President
  • Sandy Tabio, Treasurer
CAC Committee Chair:
Carolyn Rufus CPS, Bylaws Committee Chair
 
Halaine Guidry DeWerff, MBA, CSP spoke to us about "Unstoppable Power:  Determination to Succeed".

The day concluded with an awards dinner where many deserving individuals and chapters were recognized. Wanda Perry CPS/CAP was awarded a certificate of appreciation for serving as CAC President. Wanda also received a certificate for being #2 Top Recruiter with seven new members. CAC members picked up these awards in Wanda's absence.Teresa Tidwell CAP was honored for serving as certification chair for A-O.
